World War I was a global conflict that lasted from 1914 to 1918. A conflict of such magnitudes, there were naturally some hidden costs of World War 1. It was primarily fought between the Allies, consisting of France, Russia, and the United Kingdom, and the Central Powers, consisting of Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire.
